Radio Personality Andrew McBride known professionally as
Andy Mack. Hosts one of the worlds most listened to live Scottish Radio
broadcasts from Ontario, Canada. Go to the radio station web site and listen
in. Andy wears one of our kilts, in the Scottish National tartans, when he
is out running events as a Master of Ceremonies and host for many events.

Famous weatherman Willard Scott was the
recipient of Tartan Ties in both a Scott Red and Scott Green
Tartan. The advertising agency for the Brand Scotland called us out of the
clear blue one day. Asked if we could send Willard Scott the two ties to
wear for Tartan Day. We like to think we are the only Scottish Shop around
but the advertising agency that called was over three-thousand miles away.

" NASA has emailed us, what should we do?"
After reading the email, we were a little disappointed that they were not
going to send the next group of astronauts up in the kilts. However we were
delighted to find that a member of NASA wanted to have his wedding tartans

needed custom made sporrans and many specialty accessories.

Utility Kilt |
There are now several variations on the
traditional Highland Kilt. There are brand like Utilikilt, and Neo-kilt.
Both of these companies not only provide a quality product, but they are
both eager to tell their customers that the canvas kilts they sell are not
traditional. Case in point. At one of our many Highland Games we provide a
mobile kilt store, we were next to the Utilikilt booth. At the end of the
day one of the representatives from their booth came over and started
looking at our selection of traditional high quality wool kilts. We talked
size and tried a few on him. He purchased a great looking full Highland 8
yard kilt in the Forbes Tartan. |

There is one kilt shop out there promoting
themselves as the " The largest kilt store on the web" . Admittedly
they are one of the oldest and one of the most prestigious. The have a full
line of product much like ours, including sporrans. Several years ago
we were both representing our products at one of the larger Highland Games
here in the Northwest. The General Manager of their Seattle, Washington
Store presented himself at our booth and started asking about our sporrans.
The L&M sporrans and leather that we have are the best on the planet. As further proof,
he purchased one from us. |
