Highland Daywear Tweed Jackets The Highland Tweed jacket has been the standard for centuries. From the time of Rob Roy the Highland tweed jacket has provided the good looks and a warmth required in the cool climate of the Highlands. We offer both the heavy traditional tweed in a Custom Made jacket in 14oz. wool, a heavy weave loft for colder climates. The Kilt & Thistle realizes most of the U.S. has a warmer climate than Scotland, and many of you will want to wear your tweed indoors. We offer a slightly lighter weight tweed with a smooth finish that has the refined look of a Argyle Barathea jacket, but the casual look of a Highland tweed with traditional stag horn buttons.
